Burger Kettlebell
The Weights of Craving
The work brings out the contradictions of a culture that glorifies consumption and, at the same time, projects control of the body as an ideal. Craving and control meet in a single form.

Inquire about this workAbout the Burger Kettlebell
The burger is the icon of fast food and of a culture of instant appetite. The Burger Kettlebell builds a whole cheeseburger, with bun, lettuce, tomato and cheese, around the form of the kettlebell, while the handle stays black and plain. Between craving and control, the sculpture gives what we desire the weight of a monument. It is made in full colour and in single colours, and its Extra Heavyweight is a unique piece of 10 kg. It forms The Weights of Craving.
Editions and dimensions
The Burger Kettlebell is made in 4 numbered editions, named after boxing weight classes: Extra Heavyweight, a unique piece (25 × 19 × 19 cm, 10 kg); Heavyweight, an edition of 30 pieces (25 × 19 × 19 cm, 5 kg); Middleweight, an edition of 60 pieces (19 × 14 × 14 cm, 2 kg); and Featherweight, an edition of 90 pieces (13 × 10 × 10 cm). The form is the same in every edition; only scale and mass change.
